Creamy Garlic Chicken

Chicken breasts in an irresistible garlic sauce are the perfect way to celebrate National Garlic Day (April 19). Recipe compliments of Linda O., in our Anchorage AK location.

Equipment

  • 1 Propane Stove

Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 8 thighs Skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 dash Pepper
  • 3 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 4 tbsp Parmesan cheese shredded
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 10 cloves Garlic smashed

Sauce

  • 6 tbsp Flour
  • 2 1/2 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cube Beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme dry
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

Prep

  • Combine the chicken broth, bouillon, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder and thyme. Set aside.
  • Combine flour and parmesan cheese onto a plate.
  • Measure out additional ingredients prior to beginning.

Chicken

  • Season chicken with the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Dredge each side in the flour mixture. Tap off excess.
  • Heat olive oil and butter and saute the garlic on medium heat (2-3 minutes). Remove garlic and set aside.
  • Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until a golden crust has developed. Set aside and leave brown remnants in the pan.

Sauce

  • Add the flour to the pan and whisk for 1-2 minutes until raw flour smell is gone and it begins to brown.
  • Add chicken broth mixture in splashes, stirring constantly.
  • Stir in the cream. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Stir in parmesan cheese and garlic.
  • Add chicken back to the pan along with any juices from the plate. Spoon sauce on top Cover and cok for 5 minutes.
