Easy Caramel Sauce
When making homemade caramel sauce, you have to pay close attention, so it doesn’t burn. One small distraction and your expensive sugar, butter, and heavy cream end up in the trash. Today, in honor of National Caramel Month, we’re sharing an easy and quick recipe that uses, are you ready for it, sweetened condensed milk!

Easy Caramel Sauce
Equipment
- 1 Propane Stove
Ingredients
- 1 can Sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
- 1 cup Brown sugar light or dark
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter sliced
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring condensed milk and brown sugar to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly.
- Reduce heat, and simmer on low for 5 minutes whisking constantly.
- Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla to the mixture and stir well until the butter melts.
- Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to one month.
