We Cherish Our Relationship with the American Red Cross

We are very proud of our partnership with the American Red Cross in helping to raise awareness of the ongoing need for blood and platelets and the great work that these blood drives have done for our local communities. Many of our employees volunteer at blood drives around the country, in support of our core value of giving back to the communities we serve. #SuburbanCares

During our sponsored promotions in 2018 nearly 1 million patient lives were potentially helped from more than 943,000 blood and platelet donations for the American Red Cross.

• We held 94 Signature Event Blood Drives in 15 states, which collected more than 7,200 units of blood
• Our fourth annual Jersey City Police and Fire 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive collected over 169 units of blood with 45 donations from the Fire and Police teams
• Our contribution to Hurricane Florence Relief supported the American Red Cross’ mission to provide more than 129,700 overnight shelter stays, distribute 337,500 relief items, make more than 52,800 health and mental health contacts, and more.
• Our donation of propane enabled the American Red Cross’ National Disaster Feeding Partner, Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief, to swiftly and efficiently prepare 1.6 million meals and snacks served by the American Red Cross for Hurricane Florence Relief
