I started off with my dealings with Suburban thinking I would be writing a nasty review here about them, but I gave them the chance to make right by a situation and they did and then some. My girlfriend and I recently moved and are in our first house that we would be needing fuel oil in for our furnace. After finding that Suburban had every other fuel company beat on price by a large margin, we decided they were the company to use. At $2.08/gal we felt it was a great price, and based on other local companies being way more, we knew it was. I had an issue with the delivery not coming the 2 days I was told it was going to be delivered and I was very upset as we needed the fuel in order to move into the house. I was told their manager was out of town and it would be a day later before he was back at the office and could get ahold of me. I was less than pleased that my delivery was delayed and now it was going to be 5 days more before my delivery and another day until the manager would even contact me. No more than 10 minutes passed and the manager, Dave, called me from the road on his cell and told me he heard the situation and was outraged that I was receiving subpar service. He told me that he personally was guaranteeing that my fuel was to be delivered by noon the next day-AND he took some money of the top of the price (which honestly, I wasn't even asking for, he just knows how to make a customer happy and EARN their business). Well, Dave, you have earned my business and I look forward to continuing to deal with you in future fuel purchases. Dave went above and beyond to ensure that he fulfilled my needs as a customer and also added a discount to ease the pain of the delay. I would recommend anyone to use Suburban Propane for their fuel oil/propane purchases. Great job, Dave, you turned a 1 star review into a 5 star review by your understanding of customer service, and you sir are a great manager.
